Today’s Carpe Diem Prompt is Silk.
Today I offer a 3 stop journey into the life of Silk…
The Bombyx mori
Breaks fast on mulberry tree
For our sheer delight
~ | ~
For 4000 years
Merchants have trod the Silk Road
For their stock in trade
~ | ~
Caught by vice and spice
Exotica brought to dock
Will Silk save the day?
On that note, I’ll close my case and await your judgement.
my favorite of the three is your 2nd haiku 🙂

I patiently read the first two…feeling you must have a zinger for the third…and I wasn’t disappointed. A travel down the silk road for all times.

The breaking fast in the first one…definitely delightful. 🙂 Especially knowing that one way or another but the day will be saved by…Silk!

Thanks for redirecting me! Wonderful Haiku; a journey from silkworm to silk, past to present, thread to desire and more with such vivid imagery. I have so much to learn! I found your other blog positively enchanting as well.
