A Weekend on North Stradbroke Island

Some images and words from this weekend’s trip to North Stradbroke Island.

OK, so the last one was more to do with reading news whilst on the island than the island itself. But it perhaps shows how one person’s image of paradise can be another’s reality of hell.

Smiles, love and laughter.

Canberra to Brisbane

A series of individual haiku written during a flight from Canberra to Brisbane, 20th March 2015.

the salsa
from  in flight snack
down my shirt

leaving canberra
the haiku remains without
capital letter

flying to brisbane
high above burpengerry
a baby gurgles

like the cabin crew
the cabernet sauvignon
complimentary

i’m left to ponder
with virgin, a salsa snack
not branson’s pickle

Smiles, love and laughter.
