Carpe Diem Special #47, Jane Reichhold’s “Sweeping The Porch”

Today Carpe Diem asks us to write a haiku in the same style and spirit as Jane Reichhold’s “sweeping the porch”

sweeping the porch
bright prints of raindrops
followed by splashes

I saw this as the rain sweeping along, leaving its mark. Perhaps, as a cascade…

warm summer raindrops
splattering well waxed cars with
ochre desert dust

ochre desert dust
painted paisley patterns –
from a storm cloud’s brush

from a storm cloud’s brush
swept across nature’s palette
warm summer raindrops

Smiles, love and laughter

Beautiful words and imagery…storm cloud’s brush. The dessert made me hungry though 😛 Common typo. Or maybe Aussies do have desserts instead of deserts.
