Carpe Diem Tan Renga Challenge #31,

The Tan Renga challenge is to write a second stanza to this haiku, traditionally that second stanza is 7-7 syllables:

in the backyard
the rainbow in the birdbath breaks -
a sipping Magpie

© Chèvrefeuille

My response…

in the backyard
the rainbow in the birdbath breaks -
a sipping Magpie
monochromatic moment
in a technicolour world

Smiles, love and laughter

Puddles

Today’s Carpe Diem haiku prompt is Puddles…

Two days in a row I have brought guns into my response. Whilst my home State of Queensland has just been through another cyclone, 80% is still in drought declared conditions.

History suggests that the big retailers will increase their prices due to this cyclone, I hope our farmers see some of these price increases. For their family’a sake.
