Carpe Diem’s Tan Renga Challenge #5, Basho’s famous ‘the old pond’.

The goal of this Tan Renga Challenge is to write the second stanza (2 x 7 syllable lines) of the Tan Renga following on from this haiku by Matsuo Basho:

the old pond
a frog jumps in –
the sound of water

wooden bridge creaks in the sun
Monet cleans his brushes

Smiles, love and laughter
