Haiku For Carpe Diem #237, Intolerance

Carpe Diem‘s Haiku prompt today is Intolerance.

Sadly, with a prompt like intolerance, I feel I could write all day and still not cover a fraction of the examples of experienced in this so-called civilised world of ours.  As a humanist at heart and head, I strive to be accepting of all world views…as long as they are not forced upon me – that I just can’t bloody well tolerate!

tolerance tested

So my friends, whilst Kristjaan tests us with tricky prompts through July, I shall be testing my own tolerance for soft beverages whilst raising funds for cancer research. So my haiku traveller, if your credit card has a little tolerance left – you might donate a little of it here!

Sincere posting as always! Your background was so very true…nice haiku; always. Good luck with the cancer charity work – and as a teetotaller I’ll say stay dry after!

Are you saying you are intolerant of soft drinks? 🙂

Plenty to think about here. Good luck with dry July:)

  4. Oh, so true: We become what we embrace, even intolerance!

  5. I think you’ll feel better (about the soft drinks)
    Veracity in your words

Well – done, JRB! Powerful and genuine set of haiku.
