Haiku For Carpe Diem #235, Otiosity

Today we start a new Carpe Diem month with the Haiku prompt Otiosity.

Dictionary.com defines Otiose as:

  1. being at leisure; idle; indolent.
  2. ineffective or futile.
  3. superfluous or useless.

I therefore offer you 1, 2, 3 odes to otiosity…

whilst sleeping
otiosity
killed the cat

the faithful gather
on bended knees their prayers
otiosity

~ | ~

the haiku master
filling my senses without
otiosity

Thank you for visiting my humble haiku. I hope you did not find them otiose.

Smiles, love and laughter
