Haiku: Carpe Diem #157, Tanpopo (Dandelion)

Today’s Carpe Diem Haiku prompt is Tanpopo (Dandelion).

I recall childhood summer games played with dandelions. Girls checking if he loved them, watch-less boys telling the time. Those were the days they say, how soon life surrounds us, unnoticed.

There’s my three blows at the Dandelion. What I’m wishing for shall remain a secret, but feel free to share thoughts in the dandelion confessional below.

Smiles, love and laughter.

Your poems are filled with a poignant nostalgia for childhood, long before we were programmed to despise the dandelion! I vote for the wine and salad!

I thought I’d be doing one on the Dandelion and Burdock drink my Nan used to give me, but for some reason it didn’t come out like I thought it might.
