Today’s Carpe Diem Haiku prompt is Tsubame (swallow).

One Haiku does not a summer make, but two on a theme and one of a sailor spring to my mind…

Oh those flighty sailors. I wonder if a ship full of swallow tattooed Tars makes a summer? Whilst I ponder that, do please leave me your thoughts.

  3. jrb great take! I felt a little melancholy and doubt of spring in the first one.

It’s tough to be the only one with an opinion! Poor swallow, they’ll soon see he was right! Lovely to visit you , as always. You lift my heart no matter what ! Thank you 🙂

  7. had a little trouble swallowing the bird tattoos on those seasoned tars…thought they’d choose anchors or girlfriend’s names!

  8. A swallow chirping of summer is just a littly liar…. 🙂 but after a while summer still comes.

  9. JazzBumpa says:

    what are tars dreaming
    with tattoos in summer
    of swallows

    Cheers!
