Haiku Carpe Diem #133, Risshun (coming of Spring)

The Carpe Diem Haiku Prompt is Risshun (coming of Spring). All of Carpe Diem’s March prompts will be classical Japanese kigo (seasonwords) of Spring.

I’m not sure if the inspiration for this Haiku came from my thoughts this week since watching Paul Kelly in concert singing ‘My WInter Coat‘, or something far more scientific. Whatever it was, I think I’ll allow your mind to supply the image today…

Winter Coat covets
Girls in their flowery dresses
Farewell my blue genes
