Today’s Carpe Diem Prompt is Wolf Moon (the full moon of January).
Once again today, I offer three haiku on the prompt. The first continues on the mythology theme, but this time Roman not Greek. The second finds us in a Native American Indian village and the last…
Janus’ light shines bright
Illuminating futures
Wolf howls at the Moon

Tribe seeks warm shelter
When the packs run together
Under the Wolf Moon

See bad moon rising?
D’you see trouble on the way?
Stay at home and dance!
[…] Tribe seeks warm shelter
When the packs run together
Under the Wolf Moon […]
This one is for sure my favorite haiku on the theme for today. It’s a strong image you paint here and it’s also so true … Wolf Moon … the howling of wolves throughout the night … I too would seek shelter.

Loved your use of the word pack in your second verse! The tribe being a pack also. Love those layers! And of course, let’s dance!!

I laughed at your bad moon rising reference. But your second was clearly a gem

Yes, the second one is my absolute favourite – everything I…”expect” from haiku is there. Very well crafted, jrb! 🙂
