Haiku Carpe Diem #100, Angels

The 100th Carpe Diem Haiku Prompt is Angels…

After my use of Star Wars for the Imagination Prompt last week, when I saw this prompt there was only one place for me to go…

 The Weeping Angels
Childhood game turned to terror
Don’t Blink, they’re coming!

Don’t blink, they’re coming
Silently stalking their prey
Look, they’re behind you!

Look, they’re behind you!
Arc of Angels bearing down
No time left to pray

No time left to pray
Hope the Doctors on his way
Eyelids become lead

Eyelids become lead
One Touch. Gone. My time has fed
The Weeping Angels
