Haiku Carpe Diem #92, Whale

Sperm Whale FlukeThe Carpe Diem Prompt for today is Whale. The image above is a photo I took whilst out Whale watching off the Fraser Coast here in Queensland. Such a wonderful day with several Sperm Whales interacting with our boat, choosing to come alongside to check us out and mother Whales showing off their offspring. A day my family and I will not forget for a very long time, if ever.

Whale waves us goodbye
Magic memory captured
Skill, or just a Fluke?

I do love me a yearly whale-watch! Off the coast of Massachusetts….this summer we saw 2 moms and their calves – and they breached in unison…Save the Whales…

  9. Truly magic moment…what a view! And now not just as a photo but also a haiku.

I thought I stopped by earlier but I don’t see my comment! Am I in spam again?!! I loved this one!! The many layers and the fluke reference. We fished for fluke when I was a child!
