Haiku Carpe Diem #85, Hill

Today’s Carpe Diem prompt was Hill

To the mountains and hills that
Cried them a river?

~ | ~

When reaching their peak
Do hills long to be mountains
Or covet a cave?

I read the first one and thought WoW. Then I realized there was a second and that was wonderful too. Thanks I needed that … perfect timing.
I REALLY like the last line of the first haiku…

    Happy New Year…

  2. the first one was fabulous – wonderful personification…..hope the oceans aren’t ungrateful….
the second – I believe all hills strive for mountain status, don’t you?
