Today’s Carpe Diem prompt is Quilt (futon). The image above of the one scarlet quilt amongst the three ‘functional’ ones made me think of housewives from a small village, gathering to gossip whilst doing their laundry…

Rare winter sunshine
Neighbours air dirty linen
Scarlet women Smiles

Scarlet women smiles
Futon comes up for air, from
Passionate affairs

Passionate affairs
Truth is stranger than fiction
Quilts never forget

Quilts never forget
The love sewn in its essence,
and during its watch.

Oh yes, very much so. In the haiku your meaning is not lost yet it lets me transform my own meaning through my life experiences. That is beauty.
